EUROMATCH NPFL: Enyimba Unveil Six-Man Nominees For October Fans Player Of The Month Award
Retold by Oddsrama · 21 October 2026
Enyimba FC, the nine-time NPFL champions, have put six players up for fan voting in their quest to crown October's best performer. The People's Elephant announced the shortlist on Tuesday, with Ifeanyi Ihemekwele, Richard Ezinwa, Obichere Odinaka, Hamisu Salisu, Idris Bonni, and Emeka Onyema all in contention for the monthly gong. These players have caught the eye during a month when manager Emmanuel Deutsch's squad needed to steady the ship after a rough start to the 2026/27 season campaign.
Fans now have the chance to vote for their favourite through Enyimba's social media channels, with the winner to be crowned before the club's Matchday 10 fixture against Nasarawa United in Lafia on October 25. This monthly award has become a way for the Aba side to celebrate squad contributions and keep supporters engaged throughout the season. September's winner was Wonah Williams, who beat out goalkeeper Dede Dare and Chibueze Damian to take that month's honours.
From a betting perspective, this kind of form recognition can signal which players are hitting their stride—something worth tracking when assessing Enyimba's title credentials or placing accumulator bets across NPFL matchdays. When a club's fan base is actively voting on performers, it usually means those individuals are producing moments that matter on the pitch.
