Chiesa eyes Liverpool exit - Saturday's gossip
Retold by Oddsrama · 2 October 2026
Liverpool's Federico Chiesa is eyeing the exit door at Anfield, with three Serie A heavyweights now circling the 28-year-old Italian forward. Inter Milan, Lazio, and Atalanta have all registered their interest in the player, who is reportedly ready to depart England as early as January. It's a significant move that could reshape the midfield dynamics at Merseyside, with the midfielder keen to engineer a move back to familiar Italian football after his Anfield spell.
Elsewhere in the transfer rumour mill, Erling Haaland's potential departure from Manchester City remains a hot topic. While Arsenal have the financial firepower to make a move, reports suggest Barcelona hold the advantage in any race for the Norwegian striker's signature. The Blaugrana appear better positioned than the Gunners should Haaland decide his time at the Etihad has run its course.
Liverpool and Tottenham are keeping close tabs on Brighton's Kaoru Mitoma, the Japan international winger who enters the final year of his contract this summer. A January switch is being mooted for the 29-year-old, presenting both clubs with an opportunity to bolster their wide options mid-season. Meanwhile, Juventus continue their pursuit of Brentford's Michael Kayode, with the 22-year-old Italian right-back high on their wishlist.
From a betting perspective, these January movements could significantly impact squad depth and form across the Premier League and beyond. Any departures from title contenders could shift the odds landscape, while arriving reinforcements might alter the trajectory of sides looking to climb the table in the second half of the season.
