EUROMATCH NPFL: 3SC Return To Winning Ways After Edging Out Ranchers Bees 3-1
Retold by Oddsrama · 16 October 2026
Shooting Stars Sports Club finally broke their drought on Friday evening, putting away Ranchers Bees with a convincing 3-1 victory in Ibadan's EUROMATCH NPFL matchday 9 opener. The Oluyole Warriors had endured a rough stretch—five matches without a win, three losses and two draws—so this result should offer some breathing room and momentum heading into the next fixture.
3SC struck first through Desmond Ojietefian in the 14th minute, only for Isah Aliyu to level the score for Ranchers Bees in the 30th. But 3SC quickly reasserted control: Damilola Akinola restored their lead deep in first-half stoppage time, and that proved decisive. A missed penalty from Sodiq Ibrahim in the 52nd minute could have deflated the home side, yet they stayed composed. Qamar Adegoke sealed the win in the 71st minute to confirm a much-needed three points.
The win lifts 3SC to 12th place on 11 points, while Ranchers Bees drop to 7th on eight. For punters tracking 3SC's form, this should swing sentiment: a side coming off five games without victory can be dangerous when they finally get their feet back under them. Expect their odds to shift tighter in upcoming fixtures as bookmakers adjust to renewed confidence in the squad.
